The UK Knack Group Announce Scemes schemes to help mid-Wales

(PRWeb UK) January 27, 2011

Newton’s mayoress has praised the initiative of Oswestry-based call centre Scemes to move into her town in the coming weeks.

Councillor Joy Jones described as a “major boost” the decision of Scemes to make this move into a town that is staggering from the effects of closures and job losses in the past year. Come the end of this month, another 80 positions are to become redundant at the town’s Shop Direct call centre.

Executive employment consultancy The UK Knack Group, announcing Sceme’s news this morning, said, “This is just the ticket for a town that’s taken such a hammering from the recession. The economy’s on the rebound, though, and there are job prospects here now. Remember, success breeds success, and when Scemes does well, so will other call centres. Inspiration is everything.”

Counteracting the Shop Direct job losses, the Scemes initiative is expected to generate 11 jobs, with every prospect of expansion.

Councillor Jones said, “I have spoken to the company and they are as delighted as I am. I would like to thank them for coming to Newtown and helping us to get the town back on the map.”

The managing director of Scemes is Steve Meredith, who said that they hope to move to their new premises at Vastre Industrial Estate and that they were delighted to be expanding.

The UK Knack Group learned that the call centre will initially take on 11 people, and they will take it from there, see how it goes, but they were thrilled that Newtown is set to welcome them.

Scemes – an acronym that is nowhere clearly translated – has for the past decade been upheld as a prime resource for educational purchasing. The products are free to educators, and the Scemes mission statement appears to be to provide school educational requirement buyers with a one-stop shop option

News of Scemes’s plan has Newtown buzzing, as there is the usual per capita index of unemployment, and the prospect of a job is an attractive one. There would also be the supernumerary industries of computer and telephone servicing to consider, together with maintenance and essential deliveries.

(PRWeb UK) November 22, 2010

The UK Knack Group has learned that Onyx Group has recently made a six-figure investment in their third recovery centre in Scotland. This site comes to an addition to the existing ones in Glasgow and Edinburgh, with the view to create some new jobs.

The main reason of this new opening is the increase on the demand, especially from businesses that are beginning to look at business continuity in a more serious way and want to make sure that they have in place all the appropriate contingences, especially now when industry is becoming more monitored and regulated.

“We are happy to hear that Onyx will create some new jobs with the expansion and investment they will make in Scotland” commented the Managing Director of UK Knack Group. “These are difficult times and we need more initiatives like this in order to recover from the economic crisis we are going through”.

This new expansion will not only create jobs, but also it will create a UK wide footprint by providing important technology services to businesses not only in Scotland but all over the UK. This is the main goal of Onyx and they are working hard in order to achieve it.

Some of the clients of Onyx in Scotland include Eddie Stobart, Harper McLeod and Robert Wiseman Dairies. They currently employ an excess of 50 staff in the centres located in this part of the UK.

UK Knack Group Investment of ServiceSource in Liverpool will create more than 250 new jobs

UK Knack Group Investment of ServiceSource in Liverpool will create more than 250 new jobs

(PRWeb UK) December 14, 2010

UK Knack Group has recently learned that the American high-growth technology company ServiceSource has decided to choose the city of Liverpool as the location for their second European Service centre. This new centre is expected to create around 258 new jobs in the area.

ServiceSource was founded in 1999 and currently has around 1,300 staff working for them worldwide. Their main focus is to partner with healthcare, life science and technology clients in order to drive up customer satisfaction and service revenue from support, subscription and maintenance contracts.

“We welcome any initiatives from large companies to invest in our country, especially in the areas where the creation of jobs is much needed. Liverpool has been hardly hit by the recession and the current economic crisis, so the new jobs that will be created with this new centre will be a great opportunity for many people in the area,” commented the Managing Director of the very well known executive careers consultancy UK Knack Group.

According to UK Knack Group, Liverpool was chosen among other cities following a wide search within Europe because of the pool of skilled multilingual graduates they already have, graduates that have the required technical selling skills. TMP (The Mersey Partnership) and NWDA (Northwest Regional Development Agency) have been working very closely with ServiceSource since June 2008, in order to secure the investment of £35 million for the city of Liverpool and initially the centre will be located in The Plaza.
